Printing Posters That Tempt and Tantalize

When you close your eyes at night, what do you dream about? What secret fears or desires does your subconscious breathe into life in the dark hours of the night?

Everyone has something they want and something they’re afraid of. They’re willing to do what they need to do to bring the first to life and stop the second from doing exactly that. Figure out where those buttons are with your audience and you’ll know exactly what to print when you’re printing posters for your organization.

Sounds easy, right? Bringing that concept to life can be a great deal harder.

When you’re drafting concepts for posters designed to play on your customers’ fears or desires, close your eyes. Pick a situation and put yourself in their shoes. Some of these scenarios will come easier than others-setting the mood when you’ve never been alone at midnight on New Year’s Eve may be harder than imagining you’ve just walked into your kitchen and discovered you’re out of milk…and cereal…and bread, when you’re starving and you have to be at work in 10 minutes.

Yeah, we’ve been there too. It’s a good thing Domino’s delivers.

The point is, you can’t create what you don’t feel. So before you start printing posters (or even making the design to print) find their fears and desires. Know your customers better than they know themselves and you’ll have the golden ticket to making posters that will realize your own dreams of success.
